THE FOOD SCENE IN WEST LOOP

Yes, wanting to live near the best restaurants in Chicago is a good reason to live in West Loop. Heck, it’s maybe the best reason!

If you’re a foodie, you might be singularity focused on looking for apartments near Randolph Street. Good news, you’ve got lots of options! Once you get settled in, get out and explore West Loop’s restaurants.

After you spend a little time on Restaurant Row, you’ll understand why Chicagoans from all over the city flock to West Loop. Favorites include Stephanie Izard’s namesake restaurants Girl and the Goat and Little Goat Diner. You’ll also find mouth-watering burgers at Au Cheval and live concerts at City Winery. And Randolph Street is just the beginning. Nearby, side streets offer everything from incredible Mexican at Federales Chicago to BLVD Steakhouse. West Loop is also the best neighborhood for unique coffee shops. The coolest is Sawada Coffee, with its punk rock vibe and crazy-delicious donuts.

If you want to live close to the food action, my top pick is Union West apartments; a great new apartment building just a short walk from Randolph Street.
