Luxury High-Rise Coming to Wabash and Van Buren

As Chicago’s Loop continues to hustle to meet the high rental demand, another residential building has gotten the green light to move ahead. The former parking lot at 410 S. Wabash at the southwest corner of Wabash and Van Buren is set to transform into a 24-story downtown Chicago luxury apartment building.

Located on the southern edge of the central business district, the upscale residential tower will join several others slated to spring up on Wabash. Dynamic Duo Development and Design

Heading up the development is the Miami-based Lennar company, LMC, the largest homebuilder in the nation. This will be LMC’s fourth Chicago project. Design will be in the hands of the locally-based architecture firm, Antunovich Associates.

The design and development duo recently collaborated on the newly debuted boutique-style River North Marlowe Apartments which have been very highly acclaimed. Lennar is also known for past projects like Roosevelt Collection and the upcoming Lincoln Commons development.

A total of 344 rental units are in the works for the glassy, modern structure which will stretch 260 feet upwards. While plans include 60 one-bedrooms, 61 two-bedrooms, and 3 three-bedrooms, the majority of the property will be devoted to the 220 efficiencies, a budget-friendly studio that allows you to live in the heart of the action!  

There will be ground-floor lobby and retail space that will be fashionably set back from Wabash, as well as 103 very handy on-site parking spaces. We expect the property to join the non-stop “one-upping” of posh amenities that come with each new luxury apartment building that gets built in Chicago.

We also anticipate this residence joining the pack of other pet friendly/dog friendly apartments in the Loop – an area known for being very welcoming to Fido and friends.

The Loop Neighborhood

Just outside the doorstep, you can practically smell the fresh coffee brewing right down the way.  Stocking up on toiletries or grabbing a remedy for a headache or cold won’t be a problem for residents since Walgreens is nearby.
