One Chicago Square: Impressive Luxury Apartments in River North

Taking over the southwest corner of State and Lasalle, the much anticipated One Chicago Square has already broken ground and is slated to be Chicago’s 6th tallest building. Although this development will take 3 years, we’re pretty pumped to see what’s in store for this River North luxury high-rise.

Goettsch Partners and Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture are the brilliant designers behind this project. Goettsch Partners has an expansive portfolio such as The Langham Chicago and the restoration of Union Station, while Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture is responsible for the recent delivery of the luxury rental high rises of 640 N Wells and Essex on the Park.

With this pedigree behind it, we’re confident One Chicago Square will live up to the hype!

What to Expect Living at One Chicago Square in River North

One Chicago Square plans for two towers, 77 stories in one tower, 50 stories in the second, and a 10 story podium that connects the two high-rises. We know they plan on offering up to 795 luxury apartments in various floor plans (as well as 75 condos), and the shared podium will include a Lifetime Fitness Athletic Club and a Whole Foods.

As with nearly all new apartments in downtown Chicago, we expect the building will include dog friendly apartments in one or both of the towers. Maybe they’ll even include a private dog park like the luxury apartments at 1000 S Clark.
