The Paragon: Luxury Apartments in Chicago’s South Loop

One of our favorite neighborhoods, the South Loop, is getting yet another fabulous luxury apartment high-rise, a mixed-use property called The Paragon. Situated just a block away from the hustle and bustle of Roosevelt and Michigan, and a 3-minute walk to the Roosevelt CTA stop, commuters and “South-Loopers” alike are going to love The Paragon. 

If you are like me, you might have wondered what Paragon means. So, I looked it up 🙂 According to our friends at dictionary.com, it means something that is “regarded as a perfect example of a particular quality”, or “a perfect diamond of 100 carats or more”. That sounds pretty tantalizing, so how did they do?

Pretty great if you ask me! Featuring a lovely beveled glass design (inspired by that diamond I’m sure) The Paragon reaches 47 stories and offers 500 luxury apartments in studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom options. Residents should expect plenty of options for stunning, unobstructed views of the Chicago skyline, as there are no high-rises directly situated next to the property.

 What to Expect Living at The Paragon

As the name tells us, The Paragon left no detail untouched and it truly shows! These thoughtfully crafted units offer spacious layouts that include:

• Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.
• Nest thermostats.
• Wood-grain laminate flooring.
• Quartz countertops.
• Whirlpool stainless steel appliances.
• In-unit washer and dryer.
• Tile mosaic backsplash.

My favorite detail is some of their off-kilter floor-to-ceiling windows on their corner units. The design of the exterior of the building is actually faceted, so some of their windows aren’t 90 degrees, which gives a kaleidoscope-like framing of the city views. For me, this is the kind of creative architecture that makes Chicago’s skyline so iconic. Thanks, Paragon!
