Linea: The New, Sleek and Modern Loop Apartment

Meet the new Chicago luxury apartment high-rise in the Loop!

For those who are partial to downtown living, you’re going to love that Linea is perfectly positioned smack dab on the corner of Lake and Wells.

The Building

Thirty-three stories high, this 261 unit building is sleek and sexy, definitely easy on the eyes. Linea’s overall industrial feel with its exposed concrete is offset with their clean, streamlined interiors of gray & white finishes. The glass ladened tower also features pops of color throughout the interior of the building, to soften its industrial feel and showcase the balance of feminine and masculine.

Prime Location in the Loop

Linea is right in the Loop, with fabulous shopping, dining and drinking spots all around.

Getting around is super easy because all the CTA transit lines (green, purple, brown, blue and red) is a mere 5 minute walk at the Clark/Lake station.  Now, that’s what I call convenient.

The business district is a stone’s throw away with Daley Plaza, Circuit Court and DMV Express so you can run all kinds of errands on your way to work.

Shopping is a cinch too.  The Mag Mile is nearby and you’ll be less than a half mile to Nordstrom Rack and Target.

Dining Out in the Loop

Monk’s Pub Chicago

Over on Lake and Wells, you’ll find the Belgian-style Monk’s Pub Chicago, noted as “one of the oldest and most charismatic pubs in the Loop”.  The interior is styled with vintage books and wooden barrels, the atmosphere and the decor are about as nostalgic as you get. I can’t get enough of the place…or the burgers (a dozen to choose from).

Monk’s is home of the best brew in Chicago, according to some.  They also serve spirits from around the world.

The food menu is available for lunch and dinner but the pub runs Monday-Wednesday from 9am to midnight, Thursday and Friday 9am – 1am and Saturday 11am – 5pm.

Naansense

Naansense is the place to go if you want nearby Indian cuisine. The food is excellent and made from all natural, hormone-free ingredients.

I love that you can create your own meal, picking and choosing from a large selection of fresh cut veggies, sauces and savory spices. Each dish is custom made. If you’re sensitive to gluten, you’ll be pleased to hear Naansense has a gluten-free menu.

The prices at Naansense are surprisingly inexpensive. Whether you dine-in, take out or book a party, I think this Indian diner will hit the spot for you.

Entertainment in the Loop

Oriental Theatre

Just off the Mag Mile, you can catch great shows at the Oriental Theatre, endearingly referred to as Broadway in Chicago. With five stages, you’ll get a full range of entertainment options like plays, musicals and pre-Broadway productions,

I’m Loving It

Maybe I’m a sucker for Chicago buildings with female names.  Or…maybe I just get a little sentimental when I see promising new life springing up from an area once thought to be doomed by the recession.

Call it what you will but I am in love with Linea.  If you think you would like to meet her too, just give me a shout at rachel@hotspotstage.wpengine.com or take browse around at our many other properties at Hotspot Rentals.
